Daichi Aozora's gag manga "Konchu Tantei Yoshida Yoshimi" ("Insect Detective Yoshimi Yoshida") is being turned into a live-action movie, directed by Sakichi Sato.


Lead actor Sho Aikawa (48), better known for countless yakuza roles in V-Cinema, will tackle the role of the titular detective Yoshida.

Today was a PR event for Oshii Mamoru’s new live-action movie called "Assault Girls" starring actress Kuroki Meisa among others. Recently she denied a possible relationship between her and kabuki actor Nakamura Shido, thus reporters once again plastered her with questions regarding her love life. However, Kuroki had a very cool response. "Love? I’ll become a woman who doesn’t need a man."


Cool would probably be the best way to describe this movie as well. Kuroki, Saeki Hinako and Kikuchi Rinko all play woman who hunt down gigantic monsters in a vast desert. That’ pretty much the whole premise of this movie. Expect a heavy usage of CGI as usual for Oshii live-action movies.


"Assault Girls" will open in Japan on December 19.

Finally! It took exactly a month before I got this album. Stacey gave me the regular edition as a gift and then we found out that there was a Deluxe Edition available. ^^; I had to buy it because it has a bonus track, which I don't exactly love but since I AM A FAN, I had to get it. ^^ THEN, just now!!! I checked Yesasia and SAW that Khalil Fong just released a TIMELESS LIVE VERSION, which was recorded during his recent Hong Kong concert (didn't know about this ^^;). Haaaaiiii... Khalil Fong is such a ninja! hahahaha! I'll definitely get that album so expect a rip in the near future! I might bet that the moment I place my order on the Live album, a DVD of the concert will come out. LOL!!! XD
